This image was laying around in sketch form for over a year. I finally got around to painting it. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out, although I have promised myself to start with a better/more refined drawing the next time around.

My daughter has wanted me to paint a portrait of her since I did her brother as Eric the Dragon Slayer. I combined some of the photos that we took on a recent trip to NJ and came up with this for her. She's really happy with it. The Thanksgiving Day parade on TV in the back ground as we prepared for dinner and a Brittish singer was singing her song titled "Journey Home". I am not sure what the song is about, I wasn't paying close attention, but it had a good beat. It seemed like a good title for this piece. I left the wizard's "home" open for interpretation, is it the valley, is it the mountain, is it a shack by the river, or is it farther still, it's up to you.

This is a more finished version of my Modern Computer Witch Thunderdome entry. I had some time between projects so I took some of the suggestions that were given to me and tried to incoroporate them. I still kept the title in there since I originally envisioned this as a novel cover. It's still not as tight as I would like but its all I have time for. All comments and crits welcome.

I have been working on versions of this image for some time. How she wound up stranded on this planet I dont really know, I think it has something to do with me needing more sci-fi images in my portfolio. Anyway, I have always been fascinated/terrified of the idea of being in this situation. When I was about half way thru the EON challenge started up, so I probably rushed this one a bit towards the end, but overall I am happy with it and now I am warmed up for the EON challenge. Here is my "Spectacular" entry, any observations and crits are welcome. Also here is my final "story":
It was difficult for me to wrap my mind around the theme of this challenge. After all, we have seen so many Spectacular things both terrible and wonderful, in real life and in the entertainment industry.
I tried to think of the most spectacular thing I ever saw. A lot of things went through my mind, from the births of my children, to September 11th, to some of my favorite epic movies. But I wanted to do something different. For some reason, in the midst of a sleepless night "The Cat in the Hat" book scene where he is bouncing on the ball, balancing all the objects, came to my mind. (I really dont know why I have not read Dr Seuss to my children in years) But I had to take it to a Fantasy/SciFi environment for my own enjoyment. I must have been in a fairly dark mood because the title Satan's Jester came to mind immediately.
I figured he has seen so much... what would it take to impress him. Since I certainly dont know, I drew the most insane act of human acrobatics that I could muster, then drew Satan almost completely unimpressed.
So is it Spectacular? I dont really know. I do hope that the judges will be a little more impressed than the audience in my image.

My Master & Servant entry. I screwed up the color in the final steps before submiting the Final Image and I hate for that to be the last thing I post on it. Tried to fix the colors, lets see how they look now.

Hello All,

It has been a long time since I post any new art, here is a silly little sketch I hope you like.

My daughter recently got a bunny for her birthday and one night, while we were playing the board game RISK, the bunny kept trying to climb up onto the table and play with us. So we nicknamed him Battle Bunny. I just had to sketch him out. Hope you get a chuckle out of it.
